Last updated: March 31, 2026

1. Introduction

H‑1B Tracker ("we", "our", or "the Service") is a community-driven tool that helps users track and share H‑1B visa lottery and processing outcomes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We use this solely to authenticate you and associate your case data with your account.

Case data: Information you voluntarily submit about your H‑1B case, including employer name, wage level, cap type, lottery status, processing status, and any notes you provide.

Automatically collected data: We may collect basic usage information such as pages visited and timestamps. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
  • To display your submitted case data back to you.
  • To generate anonymized, aggregate community statistics and insights.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Case data you submit is shared with the community in aggregate form through the Insights dashboard. Your email address is never publicly displayed. We may share data only if required by law.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure, hosted database. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication (OAuth 2.0). However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

You may:

  • View and update your case data at any time through the Service.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
  • Revoke the Service's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account settings.

7. Google API Services Usage Disclosure

H‑1B Tracker's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request access to your basic profile information (name, email, and profile picture) needed to sign you in.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication session management. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
